The growing prevalence of dementia is a concern, and the care for a patient depends on the levels at which he is suffering, says Ms Ling, who has 13 years’ experience in nursing.
“The risk of dementia increases with age and is more common in the elderly.
“However, it is a misconception that it is part and parcel of normal ageing. It is not. Dementia can happen to anyone,” she says.
