Our First Talent Show By Residents

Talent and energetic performance took centre stage at Orange Valley Balestier Care Centre on Friday as our residents impressed the judges with their musical and vocal performances.
OV Got Talent, the first of its kind, is an event organized by Orange Valley’s staffs to create a platform for our residents to re-discover their talents. Our residents, representative from each of our nursing home branches, gathered to showcase a stellar performance during this memorable day.
Kicking of the show was an entertaining performance by Mr Abdul and Mr Navapos, residents from our Marsiling home, showing-off their ‘toned’ body as if in a bodybuilding competition. Our Clementi home starred a musically artistic performance by a resident with the traditional Chinese instrument, ErHu. A spectacular piano recital was put up by Mr Tan playing classical pieces like Für Elise by Beethoven that won the hearts of our judges.

The top performance was awarded to our Balestier residents who showcased a splendid singing performance to ‘爱拼才会赢”, which led everyone in the room to sing along with them.
It was inspiring to see the confidence in our residents with the acknowledgement of their talents. Our residents and staff had such a wonderful time and we hope to create more platforms for our residents to be engaged and feel empowered. We certainly look forward to more of such events!
