Retro Pop Carnival at Balestier

On 4 May 2019, Orange Valley Balestier Care Centre held its first carnival event, Retro Pop at BT, since its opening in January 2018. This carnival, held biannually across all Orange Valley Nursing Home branches, is an event for residents, their families and caregivers to bond and interact with each other.
This year, we are pleased to have Senior Minister of State, Ministry of Trade and Industry & Ministry of Education, Mr Chee Hong Tat, grace the event as Guest Of Honour (GOH), together with President of Char Yong (Dabu) Association, Mr Ho Siong Hin.
The event kicked off with song performances by our talented resident and staff that charmed the audiences. GOH then joined our residents and participants at the carnival games booths and took time to interact with many of them. The participants also benefitted from the complimentary health screening offered by our sponsors from DCH Auriga, alongside the attractive prizes and delicious food from Macdonalds.

SMS Mr Chee was then led on a tour around our Balestier Care Centre. He was updated about our efforts to provide the best nursing care for our residents with the comprehensive amenities at our centre, and also to care for our resident’s emotional and psychological well-being by curating such activities. Orange Valley strongly emphasizes on the importance for families to visit and interact with their loved ones, and this carnival is one of the many activities we organize to help improve our residents’ quality of life.

We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude for SMS Mr Chee, Mr Ho, our sponsors and all participants for joining us during this meaningful day. Let’s look forward to the next carnival event!
