On 24 May 2023, a delightful festive event took place at our Orange Valley Active Ageing Centre (AAC) (Woodlands Peak) as we celebrated Hari Raya Puasa and Parent’s Day together!

The event started with a cake cutting ceremony by our special guest, Ms Hany Soh, Elected Member of Parliament for Marsiling-Yew Tee GRC. This was followed by a series of amazing performances put together by our volunteers at Orange Valley AAC (Woodlands Peak). The performances ran the whole gamut to suit the diverse customs in our audience – from singing performances by our volunteers to guitar ensemble performance by Fuchun Secondary School to Teochew Opera performance by the grandchildren of one of our volunteers to Ukelele performances by Ace Strummers and finally, a line dance performance by Orange Valley AAC (Woodlands Peak) interest group.

All celebrations always include good food and the organising committee made sure this was the case by preparing a scrumptious meal to end the event with a happy note.

A big shout out to thank our special guest, Ms Hany Soh, Elected Member of Parliament, Marsiling-Yew Tee GRC who graced the occasion with her jovial presence as well as kudos to the organising committee, performers and members who helped made the event a memorable one.
