Respite Care, also known as short-term care, is temporary supported short-term living at our nursing home. It provides an opportunity for carers to take a break for a few days to weeks at a time. Respite is also available when an elderly is unwell and needs extra care that friends or family can’t provide – for example post-hospitalisation care.
Orange Valley’s respite care provides the comfort and assurance that your loved ones will be well looked after.
Even if you are able to provide the best care possible for your loved ones, the long-term effects of stress can affect your health and overall well-being. Getting respite care is important for your health and for your ability to continue to provide care for your loved ones. Our well-trained nursing professionals also provide convalescent, stepped-down nursing care, medical consultation, or post-surgery rehabilitation to help recovery and healing process.
One of the unique facets of respite care is that it provides care designed for the individual circumstances. This means that you can choose from the two types of respite care depending on your needs. Orange Valley offers both Planned Respite and Emergency Respite:
Our Respite Care is designed to accommodate the individual needs with assistance in activities of daily living and short-term residential care for your loved ones.
Our Respite Care will include:

Caregivers can pre-enrol with their preferred senior care centre or nursing home and complete some necessary pre-admission applications in advance. Orange Valley is a proud partner of Go Respite and all our nursing home branches are participating for this pilot.
After residential respite care at our nursing home, our experienced homecare team can continue to care for your loved ones at the comfort of your home.
